Lori Shannon, a Southern California native, began taking photographs in high school when her mom wouldn't let her race BMX bikes with her brother. Photographing her friends at bike races and while street riding grew into shooting for her high school paper and yearbook.

After working in the retail side of the photographic industry for over seven years, Lori started her own photography company in the Coachella Valley. Specializing in golf tournament, sport, and event photography, she provided photography for several major companies at a variety of events throughout the Palm Springs area.

In 2001, Lori graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with double majors in Advertising and Digital Imaging.

Lori was the Web Coordinator for lakings.com for the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. In addition to providing photography for the Official Website of the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club, she wrote original content, edited all content posted for quality and consistency, and sent weekly newsletters to over 21,000 subscribers to the Kings Royal Report.

In response to the season long NHL lockout, Lori accepted a position with Aspen Education Group, who was later acquired by CRC Health Group. In her role as Sr. Manager, Internet Marketing, Lori was responsible for increasing traffic and organic search engine results for over 300 websites. Lori also provided photography for CRC's websites and marketing materials.

Lori is currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University.
